Your vacation, the way it actually felt
You flew everyone out here. The trip deserves better than phone snapshots where Mom or Dad is always the one missing. I photograph families on vacation the way I'd photograph a small film: real moments, warm light, your kids mid laugh instead of mid "say cheese."
Check My DatesIf all you want is proof you went on vacation, any photographer can do that. If you want photos that capture the feeling of the vacation, I'm your photographer.
One relaxed hour, built around your family
Picture the last hour of golden light. We start with a couple of easy prompts to shake out the nerves, then your kids get to do what kids do: run ahead, dig in the sand, chase the water. I have a few games up my sleeve for the camera-shy ones, and while everyone plays I'm catching the real stuff, the belly laughs, the sandy hands, your youngest meeting the ocean for the first time. Before the light goes, we gather up for a few classic everyone-together shots your grandma will love. Then you're done, ahead of any meltdowns, with time left for ice cream.
A real photo doesn't just show your family in a beautiful place. It captures the day, the emotion, where you can practically feel that warm California sun filling up your heart.
I know exactly where the light is
Crystal Cove
Wide sand, golden cliffs, room for big extended families to spread out.
Citrus Ranch Park
Orange groves on a Tustin hillside. A sweet slice of old Orange County.
Balboa Pier
The Fun Zone, the ferry, ice cream on the boardwalk. Vacation in every frame.
Huntington Beach
Surf culture and big pier sunsets. The classic California postcard, for real.
Quail Hill
Irvine's golden rolling hills. The California look that isn't a beach.
Near your hotel
Staying in the Anaheim resort area? We can find great light close by.
Not sure which fits your crew? I have a location guide with a photo and a quick description of each spot. Just ask and I'll send it over.
Quick answers for traveling families
We're here for Disneyland. Can you shoot inside the park?
Disney doesn't allow professional sessions inside the parks, but honestly, the beach is the better souvenir. Most park families book me for a rest day morning or evening, and a one hour session still leaves the whole day open.
How fast will we get our photos?
Your full gallery arrives within two weeks, and I send a handful of previews within a couple of days so you have something to show off before you're even home. Add the Polaroids and you'll leave the beach with prints in hand.
What should we wear?
Whatever feels like you, in soft, warm tones. I'll send a short guide once you book. The only rule is comfort, because you'll be moving, sitting in sand, and probably getting a little wet.
Our kids won't sit still. Is that a problem?
That's the whole point. Kids who run, dig, and splash make the best images I take. I'm not going to ask anyone to hold a pose and smile.
The trip ends. The pictures don't have to.
Tell me your travel dates and a little about your crew. I only take a few vacation sessions each month so every family gets my full attention.
