Senior photography in Orange County.
Golden-hour senior sessions for the Class of 2027, all over Orange County: Irvine, Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, or wherever they actually hang out. They pick the spot and the outfits. I bring the prompts and a little direction, and we keep moving, so nobody stands still long enough to overthink it.
They don’t have to be good at this.
Shy, excited, or somewhere in between.
Some seniors show up with a mood board and a list of shots they’ve been saving for months. Some would rather be almost anywhere else. Both are welcome. If they’re camera-shy, we walk around, talk, make a few photographs, and usually about six minutes in they stop thinking about me. If they’re excited, bring every idea, and we’ll build the session around them.
The Sessions
Two ways to do this.
The Main Character is one place, two outfits and golden hour. The Origin Story gives us more room when the thing they’re into deserves to be part of the photographs too. Either way, they get a real say in the spot, the outfits and the vibe, and I help make it work, whether that’s the Jeffrey Open Space Trail in Irvine, the boardwalk at Crystal Cove between Newport and Laguna, or Mission San Juan Capistrano.
Both come with the full curated gallery of edited images. No paying per photo, and no negotiating favorites with a teenager. The final number varies with the session.
The Main Character
A really good version of who they are right now.
You show up. I’ve already picked the exact corner of the place that looks best in the next hour.
First outfit. We walk, I ask dumb questions, and everybody loosens up.
Second outfit. The light is doing the work now. This is where the frames they’ll actually post come from.
Last light. Cap and gown if you want it, and it goes last on purpose. The mortarboard flattens hair.

A Note From Daniel
I was a terrible student. I skipped most of the work in my high school photography class because I was too busy shooting my friends skateboarding.
So I have a lot of patience for someone who only really cares about one thing. That thing is usually where the good photos are. I help with wardrobe and locations beforehand, so nobody has to figure this out alone. We start with what they already like wearing and go from there.
