About Daniel
Photos that feel
like your family.
Hey, I'm Daniel Wesley. I photograph families in a way that feels easy, natural, and actually fun for your kids.
I come from a family of elementary school teachers, so connecting with kids and following their energy comes pretty naturally to me. I'll give you gentle direction and a few prompts to work with, but the goal is always real moments and real connection, in a session that feels a lot more like play than work.
Most parents show up a little unsure… and leave saying, "That was way easier than we expected." That's exactly how it should feel.
Get to Know MeLet me start by saying I HATE having my picture taken. Not with Daniel! He made me feel so comfortable and eased my nerves. I wasn't looking forward to the shoot, but looking back I'm really glad I did it. He made me feel and look so good.
Daniel actually went to the beach the day before to scope out the location and make sure he knew exactly where the lighting would be best. That level of dedication and attention to detail made such a difference, and it absolutely shows in our photos.
I was blown away by his exceptional photography skills and his natural ability to connect with our kids. He expertly guided our family of six, capturing sweet, candid moments and big smiles from everyone. Initially our kids were a bit shy, but Daniel's gentle approach brought out their natural smiles.
Daniel has a great eye and knew exactly how to guide us without over-directing, so nothing felt stiff or overly posed. He let us be ourselves, and the photos reflect that. If you're looking for someone who knows what they're doing but also knows how to make it fun, Daniel's your guy.
The Sessions
Every family has chapters.
I photograph the ones you'll want to remember. Not because they're posed, but because they're real, and because these are the years you'll wish you could hold in your hands again.
Chapter One · Maternity
Before everything changes.
Golden hour, one last quiet moment.
Outdoors at a location that already means something to you. Unhurried, softly guided, and beautifully lit. This is the chapter where it's still just the two of you, sort of.

Chapter Two · Newborn
The first soft weeks.
In your space, on the baby's clock.
In your home, in real light, at whatever pace the baby chooses. Nothing staged, nothing rushed. A quiet record of how it felt to be new, before the newness fades.

Chapter Three · Family ✦ Signature
The everyday magic.
A Picture Book, or a Side Quest.
A classic portrait session, or a storytelling adventure built around something your family loves: a pancake morning, a muddy afternoon in the garden, an evening walk for ice cream. Neither one is the upgrade. Just two different ways of remembering.

Chapter Four · Seniors & Portraits
The main character.
One person. One hour. One version of you.
The senior year that feels earned, the portrait that actually feels like you. Bring what's yours: a film camera, a well-loved book, a jacket that means something. Golden hour handles the rest.
