Nothing is more fun than being able to walk around and just have fun shooting different poses and looks in a vibrant urban setting. Sam decided on Venice Beach, CA, which is already an iconic location. He brought a few outfits, and we really just went with it, handing over inspiration to the city itself.

Siena - Graduation


Graduation sessions can be really anything you want. That's what I tell my clients. No need for the standard cap and gown in front of the school auditorium. With Siena, we decided to walk around the eclectic South Park neighborhood in San Diego. Got coffee, went record shopping, and finished it off with a scoop of ice cream. Couldn't get any chiller than this!

I have to admit this was a dream of mine to do a session at Belmont Park in San Diego. So I was happy when Quinn inquired about a unique way to celebrate their anniversary. I spent countless summer vacations here seeking a sweet reprieve from the sweltering Arizona heat. The epicenter of these blissful memories, dripping with gooey childhood nostalgia, was Belmont Park. Salt-kissed faces, endless summer swell, sandy beach blankets, and the allure of that California girl. This session really had it all.

Amber


Amber is a breathwork coach in the Oceanside neighborhood of Pacific Beach, San Diego. It's PB to the locals, and it's the epicenter of the college bar and surf scene. No wonder you'd need a breath coach with all that happening around you! We did the session at her serene, tropical bungalow and office nestled in one of the quieter parts of this trendy beach town.

This was their one-year wedding anniversary, and they wanted to go back to where it all started on their first date at the famous 24-hour San Diego dining institution, Rudford’s. Lucky for us, it was a Monday, and they had a whole section empty, which really gave me the space to get some awesome voyeuristic shots. It's always nice to get a milkshake during a session, too!
